The “People” section of LinkingBoomers.com connects you with others 50+ in your community, whether it be for fun activities, friendship or dating.

There are two ways to connect with others. One option is to browse the Personal Profiles and contact people you are interested in connecting with. If you choose to “Contact” someone, you will be then asked to create a Personal Profile on LinkingBoomers.com, which then acts as your account on the web site.

The second option is to create a Personal Profile and have others connect with you. If you choose this option, you will be immediately taken to a form that will create both your Personal Profile and your user account.

Our process for connecting people is quite private since all of the connecting is done through this web site so no one will ever see your personal email address and users go by a nickname.

After you have created a Personal Profile, you will have an account on LinkingBoomers.com. You can use your email address and password that you provide on your Boomer Profile to login to your account at any time. Once in your account, you will have two options. You can either “Edit or Delete your Personal Profile” or you can “View Your Inbox” of messages from other boomers.

A: You can use the “People” section of the site to make connections in your community! What type of connection you would like to make is up to you. Q: How do I post a Personal Profile on LinkingBoomers.com?

A: Simply click on “Post a Personal Profile” and complete the form. It should only take about 10 minutes.

Q: How do I connect with someone I’m interested in after reading their Personal Profile?

A: Simply click on the “Connect” Button at the bottom of their profile. You can type a quick message in the text box provided and send this message through the LinkingBoomers.com website. That way you don’t have to give your email address.

Q: What if I don’t want to respond to someone’s initial email?

A: If you do not want to reply to someone, which has taken contact with you through the site, simply don’t.

Q: What age group are involved in this section?

A: That is up to you – anyone 45+ is a baby boomer and has the right to be on this web site. It is mandatory that people give their birthdates. You can then select the age group of the people that you are looking to connect with.

Q: Do I have to post a picture of myself?

A: Absolutely not. However, it is recommended. Data shows that when you include a picture, you will get three times more the attention. We’re all human!

Q: How can I edit or delete my Personal Profile?

A: Simply login to your account using your email address and password you provided when you created your Personal Profile and click on “Delete” to get rid of your personal profile. Please note, we want to keep things fair. Once you have deleted your profile, you will no longer be able to access others’ Personal Profiles on the site.

Q: How will I know when I have a message from another use?

A: You will receive an email from LinkingBoomers.com to let you know that there are messages in your account waiting for you. You can also login at any time to check yourself as sometimes our email system is not able to get through your spam filters, so we encourage users to check their accounts regularly.

Q: What if I forget my password for my account?

A: You will need to use your email address to login and the password is the one you used when you initially created your Personal Profile. First click on “Forgot Password” under the login section. If that doesn’t work, please contact us directly at support@linkingboomers.com.
