"People with Chemical Sensitivities"

I have multiple chemical sensitivities (CMS) which means chemicals from a variety of products have a debilitating and negative effect on me. It is a difficult for a normal person to understand as most people with CMS look OK on the outside but suffer from a host of problems inside. Some people with CMS are prisoners of their home because they cannot be outside as they are allergic to gasoline smells, the smell of rubber and fragrant dryer sheets, wood burning, the smell of BBQ's and the list goes on.

People with CMS don't look for pity but just an understanding of how some chemicals have an adverse effect on their health.

CMS is a buildup of toxins in your body and the amount of chemicals that are used today have become a problem. While one person will be sensitive to a chemical, another will not. Our immune system and our genes have something to do with acquiring this condition.

I am looking to connect with others who also have this condition and to perhaps form a support group or a casual meet group where we can learn from one another, be it in person or on the computer.

I am also looking for a 'safe' place to live for a few months, perhaps a room or suite of rooms, preferably in the Kanata-Stittsville area, while we sell our house and look for another house where I may not react as much.

A safe place would be a home where there is no mold and no perfumed or chemical products are used in soaps, liquids, lotions, shampoo, hair spray, gel, cleaning agents, air sprays, dryer sheets, or any petroleum based product.

I know this sounds impossible as we are a 'fragrant' society but if you do have or know someone who has this type of accommodation, please let me know. Thank you for your time.
